Oxide-carbon Refractories

Oxide-carbon Refractories and carbon-free refractories for working lining of steel ladles.

JSC «BRP» proposes oxide-carbon (differentiated by carbon content) and carbon-free (for melting of low-carbon steel grades) refractories for working lining of steel ladles.

Appropriate refractory materials are proposed for different working lining areas of steel-teeming ladle:

- over slag belt - periclase-spinel-carbonaceous bricks (1) of PShU-45М grade with specially pressed-in metal straps of 1.0-1.5 mm thickness for bonding refractories between each others during operation;

- slag belt - PU-1, PU-2, PU-1К, PU-6, PU-6К, PU-5 (2) periclase-carbonaceous refractories (3) with high carbon content;

- walls in metal area – PU-2, PU-3, PShU-45, PShU-50, KPU-60 (4), KPU-65, KPU-68, KPU-70;

- walls in reinforcing area (5) - KPU-70, KPU-75, KPU-80, PU-4; - bottom - PU-4, KPU-70;

- bottom in reinforcing area (7) - KPU-75, KPU-80, KPU-60.
